My daughter has been living in Paris since September and when I saw this image I somehow felt as though the distance between us had collapsed. This picture is actually made up of 16 pictures in an “equirectangular panorama” and then sterographically projected. Wild! Space and time encapsulated.

I transferred my animated avatar directly from meez.com but the animation is not working. She or me is really saying tsk tsk instead of SHUSH SHUSH
Dualing blogs
I am maintaing two separate blogs for the OCL Web Things Challenge more as an exercise in coordination and comparison than bravado. I have used blogger before so my adventure with WordPress is new and fresh. I really like this layout. It creates a very different mood than my Blogger blog.
23 things I will finish before June
I love learning new skills, and since my employer and industry nurture lifelong learners I am taking up their challenge based on Charlotte/Mecklenburg Library’s learning 2.0 program for its staff to complete 23 things. The goal: understand and use the features of web 2.0. The reward? Free mp3 player AND more importantly the knowledge and skills and the confidence to stay current in my field. I have completed the 1st 4 things

I will say that the most “challenging” aspect thus far is the completion of the “Learning Contract” which is part of thing #2–Lifelong Learners tutorial–I can say that of the seven and a half habits of lifelong learners the most difficult is
Habit #1 Visualize the end
Why is that? well i have a hard time actually visualizing the steps it takes to get somewhere and I also am not always clear about what the end will look like so perhaps I will start with the steps first since those have been provided in part by the design of the challenge.
